Does anyone have a recommendation on how to install a power trunk soleniod.

I have a crimestopper CS6011 power trunk kit.

The lock cylinder is mounted on the trunk lid.

Any information would be helpful, thanks Michael.

Mount the solenoid on the trunk lid as well.  Ground to an existing screw in trunk lid (scrape paint away).  Run your power wire along the trunk lid and down with the other wiring into the car, and run through a switch to an available 12V power source.  Easy as that!

I would run both the power and ground down to the body of the car. I tried it with the ground right next to the solenoid and I ran into problems with the solenoids not getting a strong enough 12V with the ground on the trunk lid. The hinge is not a very good conductor.
