My supplier says a 457 gw will work with a 04 malibu, but I have tried several times to program it unsuccesfully. DEI only lists 556U to work with these anybody have hands on experience that knows?

Ya, that module works fine but I cant remember if it did door locks and what not or if it was only for the antitheft system. I do know FOR SURE that it will work for the bypass

I tried programming it again without luck. According to the instructions I am supposed to get the led to flash then once the key is inserted while holding in programming button, I can't get the leds to flash..Any ideas. I've used these bypass before and never had this problem.

Press & Hold Programming Switch WHILE Inserting Harness
LED should Iluminate
Keep Button Pressed while Turning Ignition to ON
Release Programming Button
LED should be Flashing rapidly
Start Engine
LED should turn OFF

Be sure to have ALL connnections of R / S done & TACH Learned before Programming

Interface Module:	Category: Door Lock Interface	Required: Yes	Type: Multiplex
Part #: 456LW

457G won't do the bypass. it has PK3+.

Im telling ya that this Module does work, I have done it more than once in my shop, the key to programing is to hold the Button WHILE PLUGGING TO MODULE IN. Thats the mistake that most people make.
