Does anyone still use the DEI 500T motion sensor? I know it is obsolete but I've been reading about so many problems with the new digital type like the 507T.

I recently installed a DEI 506T glass break sensor on my Hornet 727T alarm..It has an onboard shock sensor. I noticed lately that the alarm would go off for no reason and the led indicates that the shock sensor caused the alarm..I adjusted the sensitivity but it still goes off every so often..I noticed something weird also that if I jingle the keys on the window I would get a warn away. I thought the glass break didn't have a warn away like the shock sensor does.If I contnue to jingle the keys I get a full alarm and the led indicates the glass break sensor set it off by flashing 4 times.I thought then that maybe there was some sort of feed back to the shock sensor and that a diode should be used but the shock sensor as I mentioned is on board and the Glass break sensor is plugged into the auxillary port of the 727T...If anyone could shed a little light on the matter It would be greatly appreciated.By the way this is on a 2006 Grand Marquis.

How sensitive did you set the glass breakage sensor ? Try turning it down to see if this helps.

Thanks for the reply...I turned the sensitivity of the glass break sensor down and so far so good...The only thing that still puzzles me is the fact as I mentioned that jingling the keys on the glass would give me a warning sometimes and i Don't think it's suppose to .I thougt it would just go straight into alarm every time......Am I not understanding something?....Once again Thanks

I have a Hornet 727T installed on a 2006 Grand Marquis and it has an onboard shock sensor. I have noticed that if I park on a slight incline the alarm goes off when it arms and the doors lock......The flashing LED shows that the shock sensor set the alarm off.... My question therefore is this... Does the position or angle that the 727T is installed have an effect on the sensitivity of the shock sensor? This problem does not occur when I am parked in a level position and this is why I am suspicious of the angle of my car and the false alarms... I beleive the slight vibration of the doors locking is setting it off..Any help is appreciated......Thanks
