I'm wiring up power doorlocks on a 97 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck...what wire do tap for power??? As of now this truck has no alarm so there would be a switch I will mount to control the lock/unlocking of the doors. I would like to be able to use the doorlocks even if there isn't a key in the ignition. Do I run a direct wire to the battery or tap a wire from the ignition column? If I tap from the ignition column would it be a constant 12v wire(from the 12volt info its a white wire??) or a Accessory wire(Blue/Red)? It should be the constant 12v+ wire right??? The accessory wire would mean the locks only work if the key is inserted and turned one click??

correct, if you want them to work anytime from the switch, connect the relays to the constant 12v white wire (add a 15amp fuse) wire the alarm doorlock trigger wires and the switch trigger wires to the same pins on your relays. Have your switch send a negative pulse.
