I tried to help another installer find positive parking lights in one of those, and as I recall, we had a hard time and eventually gave up.
I would imagine you should be able to find the wire at the back of the radio, though.
What are you installing? Any reason you can't use the negative parking light wire? Because that's easy to find-----gray/black at the BCM below the steering column.

Two wires one is illumination off the dimmer the other should link directly to the park lights

Hi Chris, thanks for the reply. I am using an ultra start unit, and after reading your post, I double checked the features, and I can program the alarm for neg. park lights.(it is set up for pos. from factory. Thanks for the suggestion.

You can find the parking lights, brakes, and a buch of other useful wires in the junction box to the left of the brake. The PL and brakes go to a plug that the trailer harness would plug into if equiped. I have seen installers put small female disconnects on the pins coming out of the box, but I usually just pull the box , flip it around, and tag the wires on the back side. PL is brown, brakes are light blue. Both are going to the same plug, on the top side of the box.

Hi guys, I just succesfully installed my ultrastart r/s alarm in my 2003 suburban, with a gmdlbp module. everything works great except when the alarm is triggered by opening the door, both oem and ultrastart alarms go off, and I can only shut off the ultrastart with remote. then I have to use oem remote to shut off oem alarm. I dont want to have to carry both remotes for this. how can I shut off with aftermarket remote?
