Can someone tell me the proper way to program the 2-way remote so the brain recognizes it?

toggle your ignition between the on position and the off position 5 times very quickly ( within 7- 10 seconds) ending in the off position. push the lock/ unlock button within 3-4 seconds, you should get a confirmation flash from the parklights. give the brain a couple of seconds to time out.
