I have installed an Astra (scytek) 1000RS in a 1996 Ford Wind Star van. The van has no factory antitheft. All door lock functions work the dash lights up and engine and ignition system powers up but the starter will not engage. I can ground the starter relay circut comming from the control module and it will start up. It seems to be that the control unit is not grounding the relay. Can this be a wiring problem or is it more sinister. A bad module? Thanks for any help.

the astra send a pos. signal to to the starter wire use a relay to change polarity
