Hello,
I just finished installing viper 791xv in my C200,'96 and I thouhgt everything was fine except that locks, unlocks and during remote start the head lights flahes instead of hazard signals.
How can I change it so that hazard flashes?, I checked the wiring diagram at this site and I hooked up two wires, one is gray and other is gray/white to the white wire from the brain.
Thanks for your help
mrcllusb, I have used two relays instead of using the diaodes to isolate. I think it was ok to use the diodes but for remote start and let it run for a while I was not sure if diodes could hold the current during the idle.
Is it the relays or not hooking up the right wires?
Appreciate your advise.
From what i can tell, your just hooked into the wrong wire, since your headlights are flashing and not your parking lights..First thing is double check your wiring.Find the parking light wire again.Test the wire with a meter without the lights on,then with the lights on to make sure that your in the right wire..

Well, I have tried cuple of other wires around behind the light switch but none of them flashes the turn signals.
Would it be possible to connect at the hazard light switch or turn signal switch wire?
I guess I thought that head light flashes but I was wrong, it is the park light flashes. The park light flashes dim and I thought it is easier confirming lock/unlock, remote start when the hazard or turn signal flashes instead.
So, I have disconnected the wires from park light switch(+) and reconnected to the wires from the turn signal indicator wires(this I ma not sure the polarity) but it works for lock, unlocks and during remote start.
This is my question, the polarity of the turn signals is POSITIVE?, I smelled something not quite burning but smells like raw fish?!, I am sure i did not have any in the car or passing nearby fisherman wharf.
If any knows the polarity of the turn signals, pls help. I do not want to burn any system
Thanks in advance
