1998 190 E 2.6

My customer is really looking for the remote lock and unlock feature

My first question is do I have to hock-up everything??

Let me say this first. This alarm has some weird features.

1.       It has a high gain antenna

2.       It has a emergent release/code-learning switch

3.       It has a foot brake trigger

4.       and a High Voltage coil interrupt relay .I Know she doesn?t wont this feature

It has a white wire going to one side of the acc switch, coming

Out the other side is a positive wire going to the + side of the coil it wants me

To cut this wire and connected it to a relay. From the relay

We have 12+ volts out from the relay side. We have relay to hight coil positive side

Relay to the other side of the acc switch and relay to the main controller to finish the loop. ( I have no I dear what to do with this ) I ALLSO in both front doors

There are two separate door trigger switches how do I know witch one to hock up to??? Thanks  Mark

Are you sure about the year ?? 1998 ??

Regardless the Mercedes will be using a vaccum type system and to interface with it use this diagram:

And You might, as an amateur. Want to consider going to the rear module where the pump is. This will solve any problems you might run into while "testing" wires in the door sill area.

Just as a little funny side note. One guy i worked with found a wire that went dead when the door was unlocked, and Positive upon locking..
naturally, being an old schooler. He took a 3 amp fuse.. and a wire..=)

not a second later.. BAM
12volts sent through..
airbag goes off=)
this wire obviously went from the door locks to the air bag, seeing the door was locked enabled the air bag system on (doors locked when driving)
Cute little 5000$ loss.
