i finally got my alarm installed except for one connection. this is a connection for the alternator. it just says "to alternator". the guy that sold me the alarm said it had to have 4.5v with the engine not running and had to have 0v when started. i can't find this connection. please help. its a predator evo4 alarm.

i've never heard of this wire only tach wire..

have you tested the wires going to the alternator
