I bought a power door lock kit and a "Mini tiger plus" alarm system with keyless entry for my 84' mercedes 300td. The factory vacuum lock system wasn't working so I'm converting it over to keyless entry with power instead. For the door lock/unlock module I have a violet wire for constant power, brown and white for ground and a blue wire going to the actuator for unlock and a green wire going to the actuator for lock. I also have a three pin harness (green, blue, and red) going to the alarm module. The alarm module is wired for power, ignition, and ground also.
I pulled the actuator back out of the door when it was not working correctly and have it wired directly to the door lock module. Only the unlock feature is working. I hear a clicking when I press the lock button but the actuator will not move. The alarm module is not wired completely, (for shock, flashers, siren, valet) but it still should be working correct? Anyone have any information? Someone told me to check the ground which I have and it still is not working.
You need to hook up a "reverse polarity" relay system for actuators...
Actuators / Reverse Polarity |
This is practically identical to the 5 wire alternating 12V(+) system above. The only difference is there's no switch! Both motor legs rest at ground at the relays. To lock or unlock the vehicle, polarity is changed on one motor leg. |

Thanks for the reply, do you know if I need to purchase these relays or can they be found on the car?
Well apparantly the DLRM module that's with kit already has the reverse polarity relay inside of it. The place I bought it from told me to check both the green and blue wires with a test light. Maybe there's a bad connection inside of the module.
