Has anyone used the directtech wire guide in reference to the tach wire located in ECM behind glovebox. It says use 2nd plug from right pin #1 which is a black wire. When checked with a meter it shows 6.6 ACV and doesn't change when the gas it pressed. Any suggestions?????

i got blue/white at the ecm second plug from right pin #1

what Diagram are you using to find it? I would to compare it with directtechs if possible. Thanks......

no diagram, just from past experiences it is from bulldog, wiring instructions and staub

Does the unit you're installing have tachless mode?
That truck is designed so that it is impossible to over-crank or under-crank the starter---try messing around with the ignition key and you'll see.
Even if the unit is installed in voltage-sense mode, the engine will still crank perfectly anyway.

I tried it and it worked as you said!!!! The unit I have has tachless mode. (Code Alarm CA670) Is there any thing about this truck you would like to pass along, I would appreciate it. Thanks......

2006 Tundra, need to tap headlight wire for remote start visual confirmation. Upon checking wires at light and at switch applying 12v to yellow w/red causes both headlights to dim instead of fully illuminating.... Any suggestions??

Let me be more specific, the GREEN/ yel at switch or BCM, is a negative wire which will turn on the headlights along with all the parking lights. I only want to control headlights only. Any suggestions??? Thanks

Headlights only, but no parking lights? Hmm, two ideas:
--Are the high-beams okay for you? Find the flash-to-pass wire at the headlight switch....... should be a negative when you pull the turn signal lever toward the driver.
--The negative-trigger headlight wire from the switch goes someplace....where it triggers a relay (you should be able to hear it click), and then most likely, a positive-trigger wire comes out of the relay to turn on the headlights......
First, listen for the relay; is it inside the car or under the hood?
In any event, find the positive-trigger headlight wire, and power it up.
I generally try to avoid making connections under the hood, as they are not as reliable......but the simplest method might just be to go right to the back of one of the headlamps and get it right there.
