I have a 96 cirrus and im trying to hook up the phoenix digital pd-175 remoter starter and alarm.

I got the 3P starter module hooked up but nothing else hooked up because i have no idea about what color wires to tap into in the car, this did not come with any car wiring diagram or color code wire diagram. Is there anybody that can help with this? I tried to start car with remote after the 3p install and nothing so im assuming you need at least the 7p one installed as well, is this true? Also i read that when doing the door locks i will need to buy 2700 ohm resistors to lock and a 620 ohm resistor to unlock and 2 extra relays part#775 for the keyless entry to work. Is this true also? Hopefully someone can help me with the wiring of this thing, it looks really sweet and cannot wait to get the install completed.

Thank You

Eric

I must start off with the fact that I am not familiar with the phoenix digital products.

If you go here it will give you the wiring diagram for your car. Yes, you will need to buy resistors, but they are very cheap at your local radshak. I will assume that you do not have a factory alarm, so you will just need the 2 extra relays, if you do have a factory alarm you will need 4.

In looking for information I found this other forum that is not speaking too highly of that system.

Just food for thought.

Keep us posted on how you make out.

the remote starter should work without the door locks and the alarm part hooked up for now correct? Radioshak did not have the resistors or relay, i will have to order them online. Just hook the 3p and the 7p up? I have the 3 p hooked up and nothing works, so i am assuming i have to hook up the 7p since it had tack input and all that other bullshhh

Hello i just insatlled on of these pd-175 s on my 2001 mazda mpv dx. You will need to 12p  3p and 7p all conected before you get anything 12p has the  power wires for the alarm main unit ans the  door locks, 3p is the start system and 7p are the imputs for the unit so it knows what to do. The black wire need to be hooked to either the parking brake so that the unit knows that e-barke is on or connected to a constent ground your choice. then the red wire needs need to be connected to a 12v source that i hot once the remote start as successfullyt started the car. The  orange wire goes to the 12v output side of the brake pedal switch.white needs to a wire thats gets 12volts once the car is started, so the auto lock works and so the unit know when your in control and wont try to arm whail your dirveing. then blue or green depending on your system needs to attach the dooe pin curcuit so the unit knows when a door is open. now the yellow goes to the car disable, if you want to install it. Hopes this helps you let me know if you need anything else. adam 832-229-5587
