I have a customer that we put a remotestart on their 05  Rendezvous that for some reason the security light stays on if the car is RS and sit for more than 2 min. If  you remotstart it and get in the car before a min or so  the security light goes off. We are using the 555GW also. Anyone have this problem before?

Although not the same vehicle, I had a similar problem with the Saturn Relay/Chevy Uplander. When you would use the remote start, it would randomly trip the service theft system indicator on the dash. I had used a 556U in both of the vans, as per directechs.

I found the GMBP through searching for solutions, put it in, and everything has been perfect since. I know that you are currently using a pk3 data interface and not a U, but maybe reprogramming it (is it reprogrammable?) would fix the problem?

Did you hook up the brown accessory wire? I think that is one of the vehicles that has an issue if you don't hook it up.

You need to use a - park lite

Yes I tried the brown wire but I still end up with the same problem. I talked to directed and that wasn't any help.  This car has 2 purple data wires for the passlock 3  and I have tried both and I get the same thing everytime. I have tried finding  a 3rd ign but no luck.

Sorry i was so short last post ( had a cutomer)

I used the - park light on this truck.

I was told to do so by crimestopper to avoid this issue.

We have also talked about this b4 here on the12volt

It was a pontiac tho but same thing.

See if you can find that old post and see what im talking about.

        Hope this helps yo -Mike

ren, this is a common issue with this product. and the techs @dei are no help. you may try to hook up the  other wire harness that came with the unit,it is marked for cadilacs. this harnes will stop the ign from being sent to the cars onboard computer. or use a key peice to overide the pk3....this is what is causing the problem. i know this sux but to make a customer happy it is always good to solve the problem quickly...even if it cost you a bit more.

I did this and the customer is a good friend of ours and he hasnt had any issues

We also used a GM-SL bypass with park lite built in

If you dont have this then use a - trigger park lite

Its found at the BCM #6 gray plug (Lite Blue wire)

Vehicle notes
PLEASE NOTE: This vehicle is equipped with TRANSPONDER chips in the ignition keys. This system must be bypassed for Remote Starter installation. A keyless bypass module may be available, contact your distributor to find out. If one of these modules is not available to you, see the appropriate security diagram for bypass instructions.
* This wire should not be used to power a remote starter. You can run a line to the battery, or you can find power at the relays in the center console by removing the plastic side panel on the driver's side of the console. See the photo.
** This is a 1-wire doorlock system. A 470-ohm resistor to lock and a direct ground to unlock. This wire is located at the BCM in the center console. See the DOORLOCK diagram for exact wiring instructions.
*** Driver's door is DK.BLUE (pin-A7 on Pink plug), DK.BLUE/WHITE (pin-A3 on Pink plug) for other 3 doors. See the BCM diagram for exact pin locations.
**** The Body Control Module is locate behind the center console. Remove the plastic panel on the driver's side of the console to access. See the BCM diagram for exact pin locations.
***** System can be armed by pulsing the doorpin at the same time as lock. If your car starter has an arm wire, it can be connected directly to the doorpin. If you have to use the lock wire, be sure to use diodes to isolate the doorpin and lock relay or the doors will lock every time the door is opened. See the doorlock diagrams for exact wiring details.

Use a different bypass module to see if it's the module. This will rule out the module if it does it again.

Yeah I tried a different bypass with same problem. I called the guys at bypass kits and they had me try a few different things to see if I chould get the 555GW to work but everything had same problem.  I order their bypass module today. I guess I will see if that works next week.
