i just installed a remote starter everything works but when i lock the doors they lock but then unlock one second later only when car is remote started

Not knowing what you Installed..............
You could have the Door Lock wires reversed, or your Unit may have Programming that allows Lock or Unlock upon Remote start or you may have the Key Sense wire hooked up, which may keep the Doors from Locking ( which I don't think is the case )

i belive this car will un lock doors if the drivers door is open and you try to lock them. are you testing with the doors open or closed?
