Hi. Got a 2006 Chevy Tahoe that came with factory alarm and keyless entry. I installed an Alpine SEC-150R alarm into it with the 457g module and works great. Now I'm itchin for remote start. The alpine has several accessory outputs for stuff and I am hoping I can use one of them to start the vehicle.
My question is what do I buy to interface with this setup? I don't need another remote to start I can use my alpine one with the accessory button to do that so I guess is there a module that will just plug right in somehow to allow my remote start function?

Should I get the DEI Valet 561T? Would that workk for me? How hard is it to hook up?

First i would scrap the alpine alarm make it simple with alarm/starter system viper 560vx would be my choice also need 555L for passlock u already have databus Interface . ------------- dragon

555L is incorporated into the 457g. Scrap the Alpine? Its the best alarm ever made.

Are you happy with the range on the Alpine remotes? If you are then the 561T is a good choice for an add-on starter, I have never had any issues with that piece. As long as the alpine unit has a way of bypassing it's shock sensor/voltage sensor(if it has it), via an input that tells it the starter is working then the install should be pretty straight forward. Yes, the 457G does have the equivalent of the 555L capabilities built in so you would just have to hook it up and program it when ready for it.
The truck has two accessories and two ignitions, so you will have to add a relay to energize a second accessory.
Make sure to energize the second ignition/white wire in this truck! Pretty straight forward job.
Now...to the "Alpine is the best alarm ever made"...That could cause a LOT of opinion issues! Maybe a refrase would be in line...something like
"electroz says: "INMO Alpine is the best alarm ever made.""

LOL Twelvoltz. Ok, INMO the Alpine is the best alarm, at least the window stickers look cool.
Ok, I am going with the 561 but should I get the 561T or the 561R? Will the R do everything the T will do? Reason I ask is the R is cheaper for some strange reason everywhere I look. Plus circuit city has them for the cheapest and its local. So can I hook up an 561R to my alpine remote and just have the included remote start remotes for backup?
If this is possible then the next step is to get some wiring info.

Yes, the 561R offers an activation input.
