I want to know the best way to keep my Jeep soft top from getting stolen. Other than an alarm with starter kill, I beat my Viper in under a minute and had it started. So if I can do it I know other’s can as well, and here in AZ I know a few people who had there car stolen with alarms on it. I was thinking about a removable steering wheel since I don't have to worry about an air bag it's a 95 YJ but how easy is that to get around one those. Any help would be very appreciated.
Not tryin to rain on your parade, but if someone wants it, they are going to get it...no matter what alarm you have. Cars that are stolen locally are very rarely hotwired.
They are towed.
As far as protecting the top, you could use a radar/microwave sensor that detects movement close to the vehicle.
Silent pager, multiple sensors, hidden fuel cutoff, sneakers, and a sturdy baseball bat-

I do know if they are going to take it they will take it, when I still lived in seattle my car was proteced by an alarm with a pager and a dad who was a light sleeper, so any time the pager went off he steped out with a stainless steel 44mag.
It always has a nice shine in the light. It did not take long befor no one would even come close to my car.
The bad thing with Tucson is were so close to the boarder and a lot of cars get stolen here. And unless they use a tow tuck I was thinking that the steering wheel thing might work for that unless there is a easy way around that.
install strobes and connect them to a exterior microwave sensor. nothing sends a criminal running like seeing strobes. worked great for me.

I have thought about that for my wife’s CRV along with a backup battery and a few of those pezo sirens. I will defiantly look into those for my Jeep thank you
