Hello

I am installing a Commando KE-30 keyless entry system on a 1996 Chevy Lumina. I would like to connect the dome light supervision feature. The keyless entry system has a dome light supervision wire (negative, 200ma). The manual for this system says a relay is required, but I fail to see the need.

I have read other topics on this website including one about negative door triggers on a Dodge Ram. Although I am pretty sure I do not need a relay, I would very much appreciate advice. Does anybody know if my 1996 Chevy Lumina will need a relay for dome light supervision?

Thanks!

Thats because the current draw from the dome light is 2amps and the alarm module can't support it
