Subject: Viper 350 Aux, Windows?
Date Posted: March 14, 2006 at 12:32 AM

I just recently installed a viper 350 hv into my '97 Honda Civic Ex. It has power windows and what i am wondering is, can I use the auxilary channel to maybe roll my windows down? Someone told me I can't pop my trunk with it since my trunk is on a cable function thing. So since I can't use it for that, can I roll my windows down with it? I figure since I paid $200 for it, I might as well use everything out of it that I can. Thanks in advance for anybody's help. Never installed an alarm this advanced before.

You could use the 530T window module, using the aux out to trigger rolldown.

Good ideas. Do i need to purchase the 530T windows module separate? I have a second question if you two can help. I had some problems getting my parking lights to blink when I arm and disarm the system. I actually had BestBuy put this in, so I went back to that guy and he finally worked it out. But now, I don't hear a chirp, or double chirp when I arm or disarm. Can either of you two help. I don't want to take it back to BestBuy. Also, Now my LED light stays lit the entire time until the ignition is turned on. I guess that has something to do with it because it didn't do that until it didn't chirp. Thanks for your help.

Sounds like the alarm in is valet mode.  There's 2 ways to take it back out of valet mode.

1.  Open the door hit the lock button on the transmitter, then the unlock button, finally hit the lock button again.  The led should go out and the chirps come back.

2.  Open the door, put the key in the ignition and turn it to the run position.  Then turn the ignition off.  Push the valet button once and the led should go out and the chirps come back.

As for the window controller or the trunk soleniod, Worst Buy does sell them.  Though it would be cheaper for you to get them online.  the Window controller runs 89.99 and install is 59.99.  The trunk release is 39.99 and the install is also 39.99.

The downside of having had worst buy put it in is that should you decide to put either in yourself it will void their installation warranty.  IE if the alarm craps out they'll probably tell you your beat.  Whatever you decide good luck and happy installing.

Very informative. I actually thought about the warrantee thing earlier today. I don't know how soon I will mess with the auxilary thing. Thanks for you help though. I'm gonna go try and figure this valet thing out real quick and let you know if it worked one of those two ways. Thanks again.

one thing with the VIPER 350, valet mode is: Lock, AUX, Unlock. lock/unlock are the same button on that 3 button fob
