I have installed a Audiovox Prestige Platinum 996A on a 2004 Chevy Suburban and I'm having problems with the parking light wire.  All of my specs tell me to look for a brown wire in the drivers kick.  I cannot find a brown "parking light" wire in the drivers kick.  In addition, there is not a brown wire behind the parking light switch either.

I have tapped into a BROWN / white strip wire behind the parking light switch.  This wire only makes the parking lights inside the vehicle blink, but the external parking lights don't do anything.

Any Suggestions........Thanking you in advance.

If you cannot find the parking light + wire, then why not use the - gray/black at the BCM?

Are you suggesting that I use the (-) gray/black wire at the BCM, and then use the (-) parking light wire off the brain of the alarm?

Yes. Easier to find, and draws less current from your system...uses the factory relays to power the lights.
