I've installed a Bulldog remote starter in my 93 Mitsubishi Diamante & now (day 2) have developed an intermittent conflict between the locks & the starter.  Sometimes it starts fine, others the dash lights come on and there is a low whine but no start.  Placing the key in the door lock immediately started the car. posted_image I think it's related to the factory alarm & the way I wired into the door.

A little history:  I had a keyless entry system installed a few years back (brand unknown) which I was unable to use most of the time as it usually set the alarm off.  Unlocking with the key was the only way to avoid the alarm.  I have no idea what this even looks like so it is still installed.

I ended up connecting the Bulldog lock wires inside the door through the grommet & oddly have had no alarm trouble.  Is it possible I've bypassed the signal to the alarm by wiring directly into the door?  Is the previously installed keyless entry system creating a problem with the new one?  And if so can anyone tell me what to look for so I can remove it?

Thanks!

you need to use a relay to pulse the factory disarm wire it needs a full ground not just a pulse.
