I am trying to find the factory alarm so I can disarm it when I use my remote start. I have a 2001 Accord lx.

Is up to the installer to test all wires with a DMM whenever possible.

Look in the driver's kick panel or high in the driver's dash. It's will be a BLACK module with a GREEN plug.

FACTORY ALARM DISARM - BLUE (-)

On the EX Model the BLUE (-) is located at the POWER WINDOW Switch, on the LX Model the wire is located at the KEYLESS/SECURITY Module attached to the DRIVERS UNDERDASH PANEL

1. Arm alarm with your Honda remote. Allow at least 30 seconds for it to set up.

2. Without using the remote, unlock the doors with the KEY, and either open the door or hit the remote start--did the alarm go off?

--If unlocking the door with the key didn't disarm the alarm, as bnluis suggests, you'll be in for a handful of extra work, or maybe you'll have to stop using the Honda alarm.

--If unlocking with the key DOES disarm the alarm, that's fairly easy then.

--INSIDE the driver's door (yes, you must go in the door) the blue wire will disarm the alarm......test the wire while turning the key in the door.

--Alternate method: in the passenger fusebox, the passenger-key-cylinder wires can be found......but pulsing the disarm wire there also causes the doors to unlock.............you'll have to set up your unit to pulse the Honda's disarm/unlock wire before starting, and then also re-lock the doors after starting.
