My son purchased a cheap alarm system that includes remote door lock and unlock.  Regarding this feature, the manual is worthless, and does not include a tech services number.  The system includes three wires for lock and three wires for unlock.  Two of the wires are fused w/10amp fuses.  Obviously, these are connected to the motor leads of the door locks.  Two of the unfused wires are at ground (-) when the system is inactive.  The other two indicate that they need to be connected to a 12v (+).  Can anyone tell me how to wire the relays for a Radiostar King Tiger Alarm system?  There is nothing in the manual that tells me which wires are for activating the individual relays, or whether they are positve or negative signals.

FYI, I have the Jeep Cherokee manual and  door lock both motor leads are at ground (-).  Positive 12v is applied to one side of the motor to lock or unlock.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks,  ET

Do the wires have numbers associated with them? Typically even if the system does not give a good description they will tag the wire colors with the proper relay terminal number.

The door lock motors are what is known as a 5-wire system.

You can find a diagram for this if you click here.

If the Jeep came with a factory keyless entry system you could find them as a positive trigger. Also can be found on the relay page in that link.

This link will take you to a color chart for the wiring in your vehicle.

Keep us posted.

this is called a 5 wire reversal cicuit.....the leads with fuses on them are the power leads{positve 12v}  the other 2 leads are for the door lock   you need to cut the lock and unlock wiresposted_imagenow your alarm has these relays onboard so this is only to show how it works. you will have to follow your manual to finish this....i dont have this manual...if you could post it ill tell you how to wire it.

Thanks, based on the Jeep diagram, I figured out that I need the five wire setup.  However, the five wire setup on this site indicates only two wires from the alarm are needed to fire the relay.  I have three wires for each relay.  The three wires for the alarm systems unlock are Violet (87a), Blue/Blk (#30), and BROWN / Blk (#87).  The numbers are the relay number indicated in the manual.

However, they don't indicate how to trigger the relay.  Violet is the wire that is ground (-) at rest and is connected to the unlock side of the switch.  Blue/blk is the fused wire that is connected to #30 and the motor lead.  BROWN / Blk indicates that it is connected to terminal #87 and 12v+.  The directions do not indicate how to wire #85 or #86 on the relay.
