I am trying to wire up the park light output from a viper alarm for a 95 Acura Integra. I tested the park light wire with a multimeter and found that when the switch was off, there was continuity to ground. Then when the switch was on , the continuity broke and I read about 50 mV. This is the first time I am coming across this type of system and don't know how to approach connecting it to the alarm output.
Could someone tell me how this parking light system works?

Here is a link to the color chart for your car. It lists it as a positive trigger, but not at the switch. If the vehicle came with a factory alarm it is also available as a negative trigger.

if you have the right wire and it has a ground when the lights are on and when the lights off there is no ground it will work sometimes it was a little power but not enough to trigger it, if not just use the positive parking light wire and you should be fine

What meter are you using and what does the setting on the meter look like?

You can get the parking light output on most Honda/Acura vehicles at the fuse box in one of the spade connectors with nothing attached to them. There will be a row of 3 or 4 spade connectors and you will find the parking lights in one of these connectors.
