I just installed a code alarm remote start in my car and the remote start works great but the key doesn't work anymore.... any help???

OK...now,
Does the car attempt to turn over? Does the starter engage? Do the dash lights/indicators come on when you turn the key forward? Do the accessories turn on when you turn the key?
Did you hook up the starter kill/anti-grind?

I get the dining saying there is a key and nothing else. I hooked up the starter wire's (cut the car wire and hooked to both of the alarm wires) and did the same for the ignition. accesory is just t-spliced in.

You are getting nothing from the key when you turn it to accessory?
You do not have to cut the ignition wire for this alarm. I would recommend reconnecting it and just connecting the ignition output from the Code alarm piece to it.
I recommend removing the T-Tap and solder all ignition connections.
Check to make sure that you did not disconnect the factory molex plug that houses the ignition harness wires. If you have the key in the run position and you deactivate the remote starter will the vehicle remain running?
Have you completed the installation? Is the siren hooked up? The reason I ask is if the installation is not completed, and since you said you have it disconnecting the ignition wire, the alarm may be armed/going off and preventing the key from working.

Actually, you do have to cut the ignition 1 wire in that car. Otherwise you will get a starter grind when you turn the key to the ON position. How did you wire that relay?
DEI note: TOYOTA, CELICA, 2000, Ignition
When doing remote start, this wire must be isolated from the keyswitch with the ignition relay. See direct fax document #1077.

Well I figured it out... and lets just say that today the car won. I did not plug the ignition harness back into the ignition. I will say that I wish I figured that out before I went back through testing all connections and fuses in the whole car...Oh well sometimes it pays to be awake when doing these sort of things.
