hi,

I have a problem, i just installed a 2.4 liter in my 1997 sunfire, i had a 2.2 liter in it
before. What i did is i took the 2.4 out off a 1996 sunfire with its computer and wireing
and installed it in my 1997 and since then my car starts but stalls right away. I change
the ignition switch cause the old one didnt work no more. I bought a antitheft lock decoder
called 555L and i dont have a remote starter on the car .What should i do?

Any help whould be greatly appreciated

This information may be incorrect, but I believe it to be right.

You would be able to wire the L to activate everytime you turn on your ignition. However, I don't think it will work for your application because it has to learn the proper code before it will function correctly, and since your column is sending the resistance for the 97's computer it is going to learn that value, not the value required to start it with the 96 computer. I would recommend taking the car to a dealer, I believe they can reprogram the computer to work with the current value.

Let's try re-setting the Pass-Lock system first.Turn the key to the on position and let it sit for 10 min.
