Hey all,

I installed a CLifford RSX 3.5 and used the 457g however when I start the car with the key the security light stays on, when I remote start the vehicle the security light goes off. I left the key in the ignition for a half hour with no luck I even tried using the 555L and still no luck any information would be helpful

Did you cut any of your Ignition wires in half to hook up Remote Start?

Ignition wires are not cut, just tapped into. The only cut wires is the starter wire. The 457g is hooked up:

Black - Ground
Red - 12 Volts
Gray/Black - Not Used
RED / White - Not Used
BROWN / White - Not Used
Light Green - Lock Input From Alarm
Blue - Unlock Input From Alarm
Blue/White - Status Wire From ALarm
Green - Door Triggers

3 Pin Harness Not Used

Again if the 457g was not hooked up correctly then remote start would not work at all should just crank but not turn over. The car remote starts correctly as it should with no problems the problem lies when I start the car with the key the security light goes on.

Thanks for the help

TRy putting a diode on the ground of the 457 with the stripe side facing away from the 457.  Then reprogram the 457.  HAve had that happen a couple times with older 457s.
