I am installing a Omega Crime Guard 850i3 in my Tacoma. The starter interrupt relay on the alarm calls for one wire to be installed to the Primary ignition wire. I have found two ignition wires and they both show +12volts in the run and start position. Can I ignore the secondary ignition wire and just attach to the primary?
You just connect to the first ignition wire.
The 2nd ignition wire ( BLACK/ red ) must be powered up as well. If your RS does not come with a (+) 2nd ignition output wire and only a (-) 2nd ignition output wire for a relay, then you will need to wire up a relay like this:
- 85: 2nd ignition output wire from RS unit
- 86 & 87 : 12 volt constant fused at 30 amps
- 30 : BLACK/ red wire on Truck
- 87a: NOT USED
If the RS doesn't have a (-) 2nd ignition wire, then use the GROUND OUT WHEN RUNNING Wire on pin 85.

OK i am an idiot. I am driving around with wires hanging around and need some additional assistance. On my first post I mentioned that the starter interrupt relay was attatched to the primary ignition (ignition 1). Not the case, I meant that it is attatched to the starter wire, a totaly different subject all together. I believe this is correct.
My issue is that I have two ignition wires coming from my truck and my RS on my alarm only has one wire to attatch primary ignition 1 only. Would the prior post still be in effect to power up the 2nd ignition wire. If so, I have a question. How does the RS power up this relay if it is connected to ground? Doesn't it have to be connected to the RS somehow? Any assistance with helping me understand this would be greatly appreciated, I think I am going to fry something out soon if I don't get this thing wrapped up. Another thing, the 97 Tacoma wiring diagram calls out the BLACK/ red is ignition #1and black yellow is ignition #2. Thanks!!
