2003 Suburban LT - has memory seats and driver 1 & 2 key fobs. Just had astrostart 4100 installed and everything works great, but both remote start fobs are coming up as driver 1. I'm pretty sure that the factory fobs are not transmitting on a discreet frequency or something, what I mean is I think it's the truck that is programmed to recognize one remote or the other as driver 1 or 2...so I'm thinking the autostart fobs can be recognized the same way, once programmed of course!
I've found a few program guides (hold unlock, cycle key twice, hold lock and unlock on fob) but it doesn't seem to pick up the driver 1 or 2 thing.
Any advice on how to do this? Is it something you have to have a tech II or something for? Thanks in advance!
It is recognizing the key that you used to program the bypass for, not the remotes.

I promise to be good.
Tell Darwin I sent you.
I've been sick lately, sorry I won't be on much.
Really? Damn...so I guess that means that there is only one key in the system now (the one used in the bypass)... with the passkey (is that PK3 or what?) bypassed there is probably no way to program a second key so we can use the driver 1 & 2 remotes eh?
The factory keyless entry recognizes the remotes as driver 1 or 2 because they have a different signal. The bypass you have used for the remote starter is designed to be recognized as driver 1 only. The remote starter can't differentiate between the remotes programmed into it. If you really have to have one remote do driver 1 and another do driver 2, you will have to use an extra channel in your remote starter, if it has one available, to trigger the driver 2 button in the vehicle. You would have to use another button on the remote to activate the driver 2 presets after you have either started the vehicle or unlocked it.

sounds like quite the headache...guess we'll just put the wife as driver one (so she stops bitching) and I'll just try to overcome how difficult it is to push the button on the door...cheers! (if there are other ways I'd love to hear it, but this sounds pretty definitive)
By the way this is a great site...thanks to all the experts lurking about. I plan to do a headrest video system maybe this summer for the kids....should be a fun project, no doubt I'll find lots of usefull tips here.
Does anyone have an install manual for this astrostart 4104? (I found one that says 4100 in the download section - don't know if that's the unit or not)
