I have a 95 blazer that I am installing an alarm/starter on. I have been working on this for about 3 MONTHS NOW!!! I was having problems before and it was in the unit itself. Now I have a new unit and still problems.

I plugged the new unit in and everything seemed to work just fine. It started, shock sensor worked, doors locked/unlocked, alarm worked, and rear hatch worked. I was putting the remote on my key chain when all of a sudden the rear hatch opened and the alarm started going off. I thought that I had accidently hit the rear hatch button while the alarm was armed and I would just hit the button and everything would be fine. But, that did not work. The unit wouldn't respond. No matter what buttons I hit the alarm wouldn't go off. I had to disconnect the alarm unit for it to go off. I thought everything was wired up correctly but I guess not. Anyone have any suggestions???

Trial and error..... start taking the connections apart where you have it connected to trigger points. One by one add them back to the system and arm the system until you get one that falses. This is the problem wire and then you will need to find a short in the wire.
