I have a crimestopper cs-2006fm1 alarm/remote start I am installing in my car.  I mounted the brain behind the glovebox of my 97 camaro and wanted to run the shock sensor to the steering column.  I cut the harness between the alarm unit and the sensor and extended it with some wire I had so I could reach.  For the first few minutes it worked fine and then it quit.  I reattached the harness the way it was and still no response.  Is this the alarm being junk or did I harm it by extending it.  Thanks for your time

Mike

You might have a delay in the impact circuitry. Make sure that you are allowing enough time after arming for the system to engage.
