What kinda of car is. Depending on the car some cars only need one accessory depending on what you want to power up.

oops sorry for forgetting car, It is a 2001 Nissan Maxima, i think it said to look for yellow/red wire but i didnt see one, the only yellow/red wire by my steering wheel cause my wipers to run and it was thin, so i hooked it up to the accessory 2 wire listed in my car's wires, Thick Red

How about a RED / yellow wire. If not are you testing the wires. Try testing it's possible it could be a different color. More than likely you will need to power it up for ac and heat.

When your hooking up the accessory wire its not for getting power its for putting out power to your accessories. So without hooking up the first acc. you won't be powering what ever it leads to. more than likely heater and ac though.

i think the wire colors i was looking at today when installing it were wrong, it says

ACCESSORY|red |+ |ignition harness
SECOND ACCESSORY|WHITE/ blue |+ |ignition harness

i made an error in my post above, i actually hooked it up to WHITE/ blue (which is still 2nd accessory), it was the only wire that showed +12 when my key was turned to one click over, the RED wire was -0 until 2nd click of key to ignition

An 'Accessory wire' is a wire that gets energy when the key is turned on, but loses power when the starter is engaged. Verify that the red wire loses voltage when the key is in the 'start' position. If the wire does lose voltage when you are starting the car, it is an accessory, if it does not it is an ignition wire. More than likely the WHITE/ blue in this car, powers things like the radio, and your red wire powers things like the blower motor. The reason for this, is so you can sit in the car with the key 1 click forward, listen to the radio and not have the need to start the car, or run additional equipment that would kill the battery faster.
