New to the forum, lots of great info here. I had a compustar alarm installed for me this past saturday. I got it home and installed my radio etc. Everything was working fine. Yesturday I pulled the radio out again, when I put it back in and turned the truck on my airbag, brake, and abs lights all came on and my power windows dont work. I checked the obvious like fuses and stuff, didnt see anything wrong. The wierd thing is that if i start my truck up with remote start the windows work fine. Its a 96 Dodge ram Reg Cab. Any ideas?

If you are confident that you did not unplug any harnesses, or plugs just try disconnecting your battery for 5 minutes.    Sometimes an electrical spike can lock up a control module and cause random issues.

Just a suggestion to try.

Keep us posted.

check all your fuses during remote start the alarm is feeding power to the car and that why the windows work then. maybe you blew a small fuse doing the radio that controls a module.
