As my title says Im trying to install a Crimestopper remote start/security system in a 1999 Dodge Durango. I have installed several remote starters/systems but this one has me stumped. The system is engaging the starter but it failing to actually start the truck. If I turn the key to run real quick while the system is running the starter the truck starts right up. I assume that the OEM Disarm is VERY specific. The the12volt.com wiring diagram says the type is Neg /w a 1.5K Resistor. I placed the 1.5K resistor on the Light GREEN/ OR wire in the kick panel and it still won't turn over. I am completely flumoxed here, any advice?

If turning the key quickly gets it to start, I would have to think you do not have all of the required wires in the ignition harness energized. There is only one ignition wire listed
here but 2 accessory wires. Make sure with your DMM that all of the wires you connected to are actually being energized during the remote start sequence.
Also try reprogramming the tachometer to the system, as the remote start may be disengaging too soon.
To verify that your oem alarm disarm wire is working properly, roll the drivers window down, lock the truck using the switch on the door with the door open, close the door and wait 30 seconds. Reach your hand in the truck and open the driver's door using the inside handle. This will trip the alarm, use your aftermarket remote control to unlock, this should disarm the alarm if your disarm connection is correct. If it does not, use the key to unlock the driver's door and it will disarm and troubleshoot your connection, and resistor values.
