Looking for a little help from you guys. I just bought an UNGO SR6000 alarm with remote start for my 99 BMW E46 323i sedan with a 5spd tranny. I've found a little bit of info about a DIY install but not exactly for me. Trying to find someone who's done the same or similiar and knows where all the wiring is in my car for both the alarm and the remote start, or perhaps found something I missed in the forum. Also had a question about the windows. My car allows me to remotely raise and lower the windows, wanted to know if i could wire the alarm to do the same for me. Any tips, tricks, links, or even a pat on the back would be greatly appreciated!

yea, you can find the wire that allows you close the windows (and sunroof). i did this on my 535i and i put it on a validity output so i could just hold my channel 2 on the remote while everything closes. as far as the remote start i wouldn't recommend doing this on a manual shift transmission. the majority of the wiring is under the dash but what i do on euro cars is instead of trying to integrate into the factory wiring i use an aftermarket actuator in the drivers door. since most euro vehicles (other than mercedes - vaccum lock system) uses a central locking system rather than actual power locks (with a switch) you can mount an aftermarket actuator in the dr door and have the alarm trigger that and in turn it will lock all doors as well as the trunk and the gas flap. hope this helps and good luck.

me again, it has been a while since i put my alarm on my car and we don't get a chance to do all the extras on vehicles like this at work so i have been trying to remember what wire i tapped to do the roll up. i think what i did was put the key in the drivers door and turned and held it to see if the lock wire stayed switched while the windows rolled up. if it does then you can use a channel off the alarm that stays switched while holding the button. anyway, any other questions holla. good luck.
