1998 chevrolet blazer

I'm trying to find the r-code to bypass the passlock II with relays I'm installing a remote start I got two wires coming from ignition lock one black and the other GREEN / WHITE  my question is which one is suppose to be the yellow one I got a diagram and is suppose to be a yellow wire and a blck or ORANGE / black I did before a 98 1500 that was a piece of cake  to find the r-code because that one has the yellow wire  now I'm getting a lot of trouble to find it  on the blazer I did cut the GREEN / WHITE and put the digital multimeter and show me infinite resistance with the key on,start even with the key out can someone help me on this one

thank you

Sounds like you found the shifter position harness, not the passlock harness. The harness you want will have RED / white, yellow, and ORANGE / black wires in it.

As Mike has already stated, you have found the wires that allow the shifter to go into gear. Keep looking, they are there. Take off the plastic shroud under the column and you will see them easily.

Keep us posted.

ok  I will check  that  I was doing that fast and never took of the shroud I just look for a hole  on the shroud and I sold those wires coming from the lock  so there must be another pair of wires .

I will tell you if I find the yellow one around and thanks for your comments

It's possible the car is actually a 97 and doesn't have passlock on it. Do you have a theft or security light on the dash when you turn the key on? If not, try remote starting it. Otherwise, those three wires ARE there somewhere close to the key cylinder. white yellow black or RED / white yellow, ORANGE / black. Good luck

IF YOU grab the ignition harness as it comes out of the steering wheel shroud, they will be there, you'll have your main ign wires, a smaller yellow and white that are starter and ign 2, and an even smaller yellow, RED / white and ORANGE / black.
