I have a 2002 impala with the window lock on the drivers door for the other windows. Right now it locks out the right front and both rear windows. I would like to know how it make it only lock the two rear windows and NOT the right front.

Does anyone here know how I would go about doing this?

I believe this is something internal to the window module and not something you can bypass. I may be wrong here, but I believe this is how it works.

yep i think that is right. most of the newer GM vehicles are controlled by BCMs rather than the actually switches. you could probably add a relay (or 2) to the rear windows to accomplish the same task but you may have to add an aftermarket switch somewhere to make it work. try posting in the Relay forum on this site. these guys know their stuff and if it can be done i feel like this bunch would be the ones to give the advice. good luck.

Yes- it is relatively simple- cut the dark blue wire at the junction block on right side of I/P (or find it going into the passenger door)- test it first- see if there is 12 volts with "lock" off and no voltage with "lock" on-  then supply it with a full time 12 v from a fused source- then only the rears wil be locked out and the passenger side switch will not  care where the drivers side lock out switch is positioned- will work from either switch .......This system does not use the BCM or any control modules as mentioned above....I have the wiring schematic in front of me....remember to use the same guage wire as what you cut......

Yes,

Thanks you very much. I have kids who love to play with the windows in the back. But, I also have a wife that can never decide if she wants the window up or down....

This will make everyone happy...lol

Thanks again
