Hello.

I hope someone can help me hooking things up. I'm installing an alarm and have connected everything but can't make the doors lock / unlock via the remote. I have a service manual for this car and it says that I have to locate a 10P connector with a white / black + white / red wire behind the pas. kick panel. I've turned the whole car up and down, no such connector or wires!

Connecting directly to the relays in the p.d.l module in the drivers door doesn't work either!

I'm trying to use a negative output from the alarm. But where on earth do I connect it and do I need to modify something or cut a connection to make this work? Is it possible that the description I've got is wrong?

Please help someone.. this is driving me nuts!

Thanks...

Regards.

Here is a link to your car's information provided by DEI. If you click on the note it tells you to 'peel back the foam in the kick panel to expose the connector'.

Hope this helps

That is the description I've used in my attempt to locate the connector. BUT where exactly is the kickpanel? I've removed the lower cover and there's no such connector there and neither is one beneath the carpet or behind the dampening "foam" under the dash board. I've found 2 x 20p connectors that aren't in use but no 10p ones. Do you or someone else by any chanse know EXACTLY where I need to look for it? Or behind what "foam"? :)

I can't understand why it's hidden so extremely well, if it exists in my particular car.. I'm suspecting that the description may be ment for a US model or something.. My car is import from Germany.. Should that matter?

The kick panel is the plate that covers where the wires run from the vehicle into the doors. The driver's kick panel is on the left of where you feet would be and the passenger kick panel is on the right of where your feet would be if you were sitting in the car.

Thanks!

Then I'm looking at the right place. Do you know where that specific connector can be found? Can it be behind / near the ECU unit and can the wires have a different color than specified?
