05 Outback loaded, installed a remote starter in this vehicle the other day. Wanted to know if the universal key in the box bypass works on this car. The unit from trilogix needs to be brought to the dealer for thier scan tool to program. This is just the starter so no type of lock interface is needed. Anyone with any experience with the key in the box on this car???

The key box will work. Just ask if the customer minds giving up thier valet key for the install. Thats what I do, and they usually don't mind. If they do, I have a mobile locksmith come out and make a new key to use in the installation.
