Hello,

I am looking to use the blank slots in my fuse box in my 05 Toyota Tacoma Ext Cab 4x4 6speed. Instead of having tapped wires and fuses everywhere for my alarm system and other planned installs, I am going to custom order harnesses and split into the existing harness pins. I would really like to make use of the empty fuse slots for all this but I'm not able to find any wiring diagrams or schematics for 2005 yet. Can I use any fuse up to 30 amps with these empty slots? And which of the empty slots correlate with the empty harness pins on fuse box? Thank you if you can give any assistance.

In Best Regards,

-------------
David Levy

You might be better off buying an aftermarket auxillary fuse panel. It is designed for what you want to do and will be much easier to use. The power feeds for the factory fuse box are only designed to handle the current of the existing circuits and not really any other ones of any size. With an aux fuse box you can run a new feed to the battery.

The empty slots are not high amperage outputs. If your going to want to use the fuse panel for future installations the total amps will have to be low amperage devices otherwise it will blow or damage fuses or worse.
