I recently acquired an old Crime Stoppers alarm system from a guy who didn't want it in his car anymore.    His car wouldn't run because somebody did a bad installation job on this alarm system many moons ago and the wiring for the fuel pump cut-off finally malfunctioned somewhere leaving no fuel to make the car go.  I did the deinstallation and marked where most of the wires went, but there were a few that I couldn't figure out.

The question is.   Is there such a thing available as an installation manual for this unit...... CrimeStopper     Samurai  CS8801  MDL    6A1?   If so how could I attain it?

Finally, do you think I could likely get a replacement remote for such an old unit without FCC #'s from the remote, and if I could, would this system (assuming it still works if installed properly)   even be worth putting in my '97 Toyota Tacoma?

Thanks in advance for your replies

Randy Gregory

Contact Crimestopper, they should have the manuals that you need along with replacement controllers.  Usually the replacement controller has chip that you have to desolder some of the leads on it.  No big deal,  I have seen replacement controllers range from 15-30 buxs depending on brand etc.

Hope that helps

Craig
