Did you install the system or was it isntalled by a shop ? First off I would see if the remote control is programmed to the unit. Next is to see if the antenna is plugged in, then check for power at the unit and the fuse & lastly make sure that the rest of your wiring is correct including the ground.

weel, this alarm has been installed in my car for a couple of years, like six months ago the car was stolen and the alarm stopped working. the shippest way that i though to get an alarm for the car, was buying the same one; and the only thing that i have to do is to swap the alarm module, and thats what i did.. but know i can't get it to work. i tried to reset the alarm by unplugging the (-) side of the battery and it works for a couple of seconds and then it goes bad again.the alarm was first isntalled in a shop but i did change the alarm module.

Any new alarm module will probably have to be programmed to receive from your remote.

the new alarm module came with it's own remotes, but either one of the wants to work.

Many new remote start or alarm systems come with remotes that are not programmed to the brain.  This may be the case here.
