Hi,
I accidentally put my alarm in silent mode, and can't figure out how to take it out of silent mode. Before the siren beeped when arming and disarming, now nothing. When the alarm is triggered the siren goes off so the siren is fine. I checked both manuals and I can't find anything on how to take it out of silent mode. If you can help me it would be appreciated.
Info on my alarm:
ca-145 - 2 way pager
ca-425 - master module

Try going to your programming guide in your install manual, look for "chirp delete from tx" it should be listed under your feature bank #3 . Try reprogramming that portion of the bank. It should be 1 chirp for "on and 2 chirps for "off"

You most likely enabled songbird (without having the songbird siren), rather than putting it in silent mode. Read the manual on how to enable and disable songbird and try that.

7th option in feature bank #3 says siren/horn-siren-horn. Sounds like you are in horn only, but the unit is not connected to your horn. The alarm will blast through whatever is hooked up when triggered, but will only chirp during arm and disarm through what you choose. Eg. Mine is set to siren only, so only the siren shirps when I arm and disarm, but the siren and horn go off when triggered. Set this feature to siren/horn or siren and all should be well. Hope this helped. ------------- Keith

I know that the Master Module Code-alarm product has a lot in common with traditional Audiovox stuff, but not everything....... but try this anyway.
1. Key on, key off.
2. Hit the valet button three times.
On Audiovox alarms, the feature to turn the chirps on or off is described ONLY in the owner's manual; it is no where in the install manual.

I just looked, yes that is in the CA 145 manual as well.
