Can anyone supply me with the install manual or at least the tach programming procedure on the old Valet 551T?    I started doing remote starters with 552's and they look completely different. The old standard "start it up and push the valet button" came after the 551T I guess.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks but it's still not the same.

I guess this unit is the first generation. It's got to be at least 10 yrs old. Works fine, but it's occasionally starting to grind the starter AFTER it's been running for approx 30 seconds-1 minute. I was attempting to reprogram the tach reference, and noticed it's older than any of the maunals I have. Gotta be at least circa '95.

I'm going to go through all of that today, but I wanted to reprogram the tach reference as a precaution. Why I'm not pushing this guy for a new one, I have no idea.

This unit doesn't even have a port for a program button, but has dip switches inside. I can't seem to track down the programming instructions for something this old. Sucks, because everything else works fine. Even the master unit, an old Automate 3 is still working fine.
