1997 toyota camry door lock wiring

looking for more information on installing keyless entry in my 1997 camry.  I have read about it and stil do not know which wires to connect to.  I have installed the remote start, brake kill, parking lights.  still do not understand the door lock instructions.   where and exactly how do i hook up the meter to figure out which wires to connect to. 

1997 Camry. If you follow the link it will show you that your door locks are a negative trigger. They are listed as dark blue and dark blue/white, if you click the corresponding note it will show that you must use the passenger door key switch to meter the wires. These wires will show ground when you lock or unlock using the key cylinder.

are there only 2 wires to connect to or are there four connections.  To mu understanding there are fouir that are needed.  There is Power lock, Power unlock, Lock motor, and Unlock motor.  Is this correct? 

Your 97 Camry don't have motor lock and unlock It's power lock ,look in your wire diagram either 2 wire goes to ground or 12 volt you can try with ground first see it work

You will only need to interface with two of those wires, the power lock and power unlock. You would not need to interface with the lock motor/unlock motor wires unless you were looking to have driver's door priority unlocking. With driver's door priority, the driver's door unlocks on the first press of unlock and the remaining doors unlock with the second press. To do this type of two stage unlocking your system has to be capable. If you are looking to have all the doors unlock at the same time you do not need to interface with the lock motor/unlock motor wiring.
