I'm hooking up an autopage620 remote start in a 99 accord and they said before I hook up the bypass I should just stick the key in the ignition to test the rem start first, I did this after hooking up all the rem start related items and nothing happens. Anyone got any idea on what I might have done wrong?

It sounds to me as if you do not have all the required connections. Putting the key in the ignition before hooking up the bypass verifies that all of your other connections are correct, if it is not remote starting with the key in the ignition, it will not remote start with the key out.
Does the vehicle attempt to turn over? Does it still start with the key?

Check your starter wire to ensure that you are getting a 12 volt signal when it attempts to crank. Also, double check your fused connections and your ground for proper connection. Next make sure that the hood pin switch is not seeing ground and also make sure that the brake line doesn't have 12 volts on it.
