Installed a r/s in a 2000 Lincoln Towncar.....worked for a few hours with PKF1 bypass. Will start with key in ignition. Rechecked all wiring...all good...Figured bypass went bad..got another from dealer, but it had been opened...didn't work either..can someone suggest a differnet bypass to try?? Thanks!.... XK04 perhaps??

I have not had any problems with the PKF1
Make sure your R/S is providing a Ground Out when Ignition comes ON, Cranking & Running.

I also use the XK04.............Just be sure the dealer you buy it from Upgrades the Firm Ware to the latest version

Thanks for the response. I have a relay to supply a good ground when running and have metered it. no problem there. I've been through 2 pkf1's so far so want to try something else. Will get a xk04 with firmware.....tired of playing with the pkf1...very frustrating..thanks again.

Check the hardware version of you PKF1, I have had a ton of troubles with V1.3 and older, the new 1.4 works great.
