Does anyone know how to tell if a cavalier has a factory alarm

Jump in the car, close the door, hit lock on the remote, wait about thirty seconds to a minute, open a door (from the inside don't use the key or it will disarm any alarm you might have), and if the horn starts honking then you have a factory alarm.  Also you should have an immobilizer from the factory ( chip in the key).

The 2002 Cavalier didn't have a factory alarm as an option. It does have Passlock 2 though.
