i am installing an alarm into a 96 jetta and was wondering if i need to put anything on the parking light wire from the alarm to hook up to the two wires on the car? also i was wondering if i needed to do the same witht the trunk release wire when i tap onto the trunk release switch? let me know asap. thanks

You need to diode isolate the two parking light wires when hooking up your wire from your alarm. according to my techsoft it says you need to isolate the trunk release switch with a relay when hooking up your trunk pop wire. i dont see why you couldnt just isolate it with a diode though.  hope this helps

for the trunk release would i use a diode and just splice onto the trunk release wire?
