Hi, i'm trying to install a alarm in my car that was given to me its a Checkmate Alarm and it doesn't have any instructions with it, its never been used thats why I'm actually taking the time to try and install this but I have no idea what wires go where.. if anyone can give me some insight on this it will be greatly appreciated

I also have a brand-new, no-name car alarm that's been sitting on a shelf for about 15 years now....because I misplaced the instructions.

Wiring colors for alarms are non-standardized, for the most part. Probably you could figure out a couple of them by guessing, but not the rest.

So, pretty much, it is useless without having the installation manual.

I have never seen a Checkmate alarm before, but I've heard the name mentioned on this forum in the past. Use the search feature, and maybe you can find another forum member who has an install manual.
